After your initial osteopathic consultation and treatment you will be advised about your problem and how long it will take to resolve. Your osteopath will recommend when you should come back in for your next appointment and will tell you what to do in between appointments.
Your follow up treatment will be much shorter in length as your osteopath won’t need to go over the same background questions as before.
So when you come back in, there will be an initial few minutes of catch up questions to find out how you have felt since your last appointment and what may or may not have changed.
Following this you will be re-examined to assess any changes in posture, mobility or pain, and then your treatment will continue.
Usually the questionning and re-examination take 5 to 10 minutes and the rest of the session will consist of treatment.
