Back when I was studying to be an Osteopath, my school was very holistic and used to teach us about the relationship between nutrition and pain.
It all made perfect sense in theory; good nutrition leads to the blood being healthier which can then supply the body with better nutrients and allow faster healing.

A lot of controversy surrounds the use of supplements.
Some people you speak to will swear by the use of supplements and if you shake them you can almost hear them rattling, whereas other people will be so anti-supplement that they will lecture you about them being a waste of time and money.
To me, using supplements is like trying to fix a sinking wooden boat with golden nails.

Weight loss according to the “gurus” is easy.
According to these broccoli and chicken breast eating know-it-all’s the key to losing weight is to eat less and exercise more.
Try telling that to an experienced dieter; someone who has repeatedly tried to lose weight over the years over and over again.
Personally I find it offensive that such a “know it all” would try to push their opinion on people.

My Top Tips For Getting Fit Again
This year so far seems to have gotten many people getting back into fitness, with people taking up a variety of activities including dance, badminton, weight training and swimming.
It’s admirable for sure.
But while that’s impressive, the number of people who have been injuring themselves in the process is even more impressive.
I’m afraid to say it, but you’re not the young, robust warrior that you once were.
